In the Real People of Atlas series, we’ll introduce you to a different member of the Atlas team each month. This month …
Meet Bill Leonhardt, Atlas Partner Manager
Bill enjoys just about any sport, from watching college football to playing competitive volleyball. He prefers playing indoor volleyball to sand though that’s purely based on his jumping abilities. He loves vacationing where there’s sun and water. He’s been lucky enough to travel to the British Virgin Islands and sail (i.e. watch everyone else work and maneuver the boat while volunteering to bartend). In all seriousness, Bill can’t wait to get back there and sail with his kids once they’re old enough. Growing up, Bill always wanted to be a Partner Manager at Atlas as long as it meant riding a motorcycle, wearing a uniform and pulling over ‘bad guys’!
What is your professional experience?
I started out in the newspaper ad business, but quickly moved over to the digital realm. After some stops at various publishers I found a home at Atlas in 2006. The majority of my career has been based around building support teams, working with advanced creative, and now partnerships.
What do you work on at Atlas?
I work on the Atlas Partnerships team focusing on our Creative Partner and Planning programs.
How long have you been on the Atlas team?
I joined Atlas in 2006 as an Atlas Rich Media Project Manager helping clients launch rich media campaigns. Minus a year where I was focused on Microsoft Ad Supportability, I’ve been with Atlas ever since.
What interests you most about working in the ad tech space?
I love the ever-evolving technology, the continuous industry growth, and that ad tech sits at the center of this digital universe. The products we create and support touch every aspect of the ad stream – creative development, planning, buying, delivery and measurement. If we do our job well, advertising becomes content – content that drives results and value.
How do you think Atlas is changing the industry?
Atlas is fulfilling the early promise of digital advertising. We’re making creatives more relevant, measuring effectiveness with real people (across devices), and holding the industry and ourselves accountable. You can see the momentum within the industry today. Look around and take in all the messaging outside of Atlas that now includes ‘real people’. I love it! After almost two decades, the industry is maturing. Atlas is leading the way and I’m excited to be part of it!
Is there anything you want to tell clients about Atlas that they don’t know?
The people of Atlas are passionate. We’re committed to doing what’s best for our clients and changing the industry. Get ready; it’s going to be a fun ride!
