Andrew is passionate about all things creative, but he’s also a huge sports fan. Originally from Northern California, he roots shamelessly for the Giants, 49ers and his hometown Sacramento Kings. Andrew also became a Sounders FC supporter and UW Husky fan when he moved to Seattle to pursue his Master of Design degree at the University of Washington. He has a diverse design background, having served as both Art Director and Adjunct Faculty in his career. Most recently, he was a UX Designer at Microsoft before joining Atlas as a Product Designer in May of 2014.
What do you work on at Atlas?
I’m a Product Designer, so I work on improving the experience for those people using Atlas. I’ve also helped out a bit with the design of our marketing materials.
How long have you been on the Atlas team?
I’ve been working on Atlas for about 9 months now. It’s been great to be a part of this talented team and launch the new Atlas product with them!
What interests you most about working in the ad tech space?
The ability to reach people with messages that are actually meaningful to them. People don’t usually like ads because they aren’t relevant to them. The ad tech space has the ability to change that perception.
How do you think Atlas is changing the industry?
By introducing the people-based model, Atlas can become the most relevant media channel for consumers, which means that people will actually see ads that interest them. I also believe that the Atlas cross-device strategy could empower advertisers to create more compelling stories in their messages.
Is there anything you want to tell clients about Atlas that they don’t know?
The team at Atlas cares about the people using our product. This sentiment is evident to me in every meeting we attend, every design that we craft, and every line of code that we write. We’ve got a good group of folks working on it!
